If they could, cats would invent full-time full-sensorium VR for all humans everywhere so they could sleep on our immobile bodies eternally. And probably eat our extremities, too.

Oxygen starvation wasn’t a bad way to go. You just got sleepy and foggy, and eventually sat down for a nice nap that lasted longer than you anticipated. Restful. I didn’t want to nap without end.

Starlight. What a tautology. As if there’s anything else in the universe that makes light. Directly or indirectly, all the light there is originates from stars.
