I spent a lot of time praying and wondering what on earth God was going to do here in Red Lodge. In fact, my take on mission is you pray, listen, respond, have people alongside you – and just start!

At the beginning, I spent two or three months prayer-walking and listening to God, rather than ‘doing something’ straight away. It took me about 18 months to really understand

It’s in my nature to rush ahead but I really felt God was putting the brakes on so we could spend time like this. I know the area really, really well but felt we mustn’t assume, must listen to people, wait, watch, and pray a lot. I think it was a bit frustrating for some of the team, but it really paid off.
