The Art of Narrative Analogy

When it comes to identifying parallel stories in the Bible, Genesis can be compared to A New Hope, and the remainder of the Torah (Exodus to Deuteronomy) to the first Star Wars trilogy. The rest of the Bible (Joshua to Revelation) may be compared to all the subsequent Star Wars movies (Episodes I-III, VII-IX). For newbies-that is, people who only read the New Testament-the special effects in the Torah story seem rather outdated.
